Walk & Talk Tours- Downtown Ottawa

1. Parliamentary Walk - 4:30 P.M., duration 1 hr  (Free)

 

Take a free guided tour and discover the history, functions and art of Canada’s Parliament! The iconic Centre Block is home to the Senate, House of Commons and Library of Parliament. For 2017, the Library of Parliament has installed a new exhibit in the Main Library entitled Foundations: The Words That Shaped Canada. Explore documents that transformed Canada and see how each one marked a turning point in Canadian history.

 2. Indigenous Walk - ‘A small step toward Reconciliation’- 6:00 P.M., duration: 1 hr ($15) THIS EVENT IS NOW FULL

 

    Indigenous Walks is a walk and talk through downtown Ottawa exploring landscape, architecture, art and monuments through an Indigenous perspective. You’ll get to know Ottawa like you have never known it before!
    Location: Start: Westin Hotel Lobby; End: Lowertown Brewery, York Street or Westin Hotel

     

3. Haunted Walk - 6:00 P.M., duration 1 hr ($19.75)

     

    Ghosts and the Gallows Old Carleton County Jail Tour -Alongside a costumed guide, you’ll visit haunted spots such as Canada’s last functioning gallows and Carleton County Jail — now a haunted hostel — and listen to terrifying tales of unlawful hangings, faceless ghosts, and infamous assassinations.

Location: Start: 46 ½ Sparks Street; End at Lowertown Brewery, York Street
