Travel Award

Purpose
To support our LMIC international partners to attend the Global Cancer Control Conference in Toronto, Canada March 1-3, 2018 where financial considerations would be a barrier to attendance.

This meeting will emphasize Canada’s role in the fight against cancer around the world and the opportunities for Canadians to contribute. Through symposia, workshops and ‘in-café’ sessions, this conference will engage cancer and global health experts and political leaders to identify opportunities for innovation and collaboration to improve cancer programs globally; and place cancer control firmly on the global development agenda.

The Global Cancer Control Conference 2018 is offering travel funds for those from participants from LMIC and includes masters and doctoral students, post-doctoral fellows, residents, fellows, medical students, and young leaders under the age of 40.

We encourage networking and exchange of ideas among emerging scholars working within all aspects cancer control.  In particular, we would like to encourage interdisciplinary dialogue and cross-disciplinary exposure of research in cancer care.
