CALL FOR ABSTRACTS

 

Ontario's Water Conference & Trade Show jointly hosted by OWWA, OMWA and OWWEA will be held in Niagara Falls, May 7-10, 2017. The Conference draws key decision makers in the industry, including municipal and government employees, operators and consultants. Over the years it has become well respected in the water profession and noted for its high profile presenters and informative topics. All topics related to the water profession and of interest to our members will be considered.

 

A major goal of the conference is to offer a program that challenges delegates by examining traditional concepts and methods and provides:

  • New ideas and approaches to problem solving
  • Thought-provoking information on emerging issues and new technologies
  • Opportunities to connect with key individuals and organizations across the drinking water spectrum

 

The Program Committee is seeking abstracts for the following types of presentations:

  • Technical Presentations:  20 minutes in length with 5 minutes for Q & A.
  • Workshops: In-depth workshops of 1 hour, 1.5 hours or 2.5 hours in length.
  • Ignite Presentations: 10-15 minute session intended to spark ideas, innovation and conversation, and provide bite-sized learning opportunities, usually based on a new initiative or challenges.
  • Operator Training Hands-On Presentations: Hands-on sessions including equipment that are 50 minutes in length with 5 minutes for Q & A and must include both theory and practical components to fulfill the CEU requirements.
  • Operator Training Technical Presentations: With a focus on Operators, these sessions are 20 minutes in length with 5 minutes for Q & A.

Asset Management  Automation Certification & Education
Climate Change   Construction Cross Connection Control
Communication & Public Affairs Distribution                       EA/Master Plans
Emerging Issues Groundwater Management
OMWA Small Systems Source Water Protection
Treatment  University Research  Water Efficiency

 

Proposals which are intended to solicit business or sell services will not be considered.
