You are invited to register for the 2018 Research and Evaluation Conference on Self-Sufficiency (RECS), sponsored by the Office of Planning, Research, and Evaluation in the Administration for Children and Families of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The conference will be held May 30 – June 1, 2018 at the Renaissance Hotel in Washington, DC. There is no cost to attend the conference, although all participants should register in advance online. The registration deadline is May 15, 2018.

The 2018 RECS will provide a valuable opportunity to gather in D.C. and hear the latest findings from evaluations of human services and employment programs and policies, discuss ways to incorporate findings into the design and implementation of programs, and identify future evaluation needs and questions of interest. The conference will focus on programs, policies, and services that support low-income and vulnerable families on the path to economic self-sufficiency.

The 2018 RECS will feature presentations and discussions on the following topics:

  • TANF Programs, Policies, and Populations
  • Employment and Mobility in the Labor Market
  • Youth Well-Being and the Transition to Adulthood
  • Strengthening Families, Fatherhood, Marriages, and Relationships
  • Evaluating Social Programs, Building Evidence, and Using Data
